Dr. Chotiner,
Just a few lines to let you know how my Lasik Surgery has improved my life. In June of 1999, I had the Lasik Surgery to correct my eyesight after wearing glasses or contact lenses for about twenty years.

I have not had to wear glasses since I stepped off the table in your operating room over two years ago. My mono vision is great for reading and distance. I am especially pleased with the distance vision since I play golf quite often.

The only discomfort I had was for about a half a day after surgery. It felt as if I had some dirt particles in my eye. This cleared up very quickly.

I am almost 71 years old and enjoy the improvement very much. I would recommend this procedure to anyone who has a need for corrective vision.

As you know, I’ve driven a Lexus for the past several years. The motto of this terrific make of vehicle is “The Relentless Pursuit of Perfection”. I cannot help but think and feel that you, your medical expertise and goals, your staff, your facility – EVERYTHING connected to you and the Memorial Eye Institute, should have the motto, “The Passionate Pursuit of Perfection”.

Having the laser surgery performed by such an expert with such an outstanding staff, has changed my life – so wonderfully!!!! Never in a million years would I have ever thought I would be living my life without glasses or contact lenses. I lived for 24 years with either or both, to correct my vision. Now, all I have to do is open my eyes!!!! I cannot express my gratitude to you and to your staff for making Memorial Eye Institute’s “Passionate Pursuit of Perfection” the medical miracle it is. Thank you doesn't quite seem to capture what I feel when I open my eyes and see with 20/20 vision.

On April 11, 2001 you gave me a gift I will cherish for the rest of my life. That day, with great skill, you performed Lasik surgery on me and improved my sight 100%. I have worn glasses for 55 years. Over the last 30 years I literally have been unable to see my hand clearly at arms length without glasses.

It was always my opinion that I was too old to be a candidate for Lasik correction. One Friday I called M.E.I. to inquire about it. Your staff were very helpful and I same in that day for a series of tests. They indicated I was a viable subject for the surgery and the next Wednesday you made it possible for me to see 20/25 without glasses. And as a bonus, you allowed me to see up close without “cheaters”.

The procedure was quick, and pleasant. I don’t know if I am an exception, but the “light show” I experienced was truly captivating. Thanks for making this your life’s work.

Hello. I wanted to drop a quick note of congratulations and gratitude to you and your entire staff and support network at the Memorial Eye Institute. Congratulations are for having such a quality minded and customer focused establishment. Thank you for answering all my questions during the procedure, for your gentle tone, and for setting me at ease that I wasn't blinking with the speculum in, that it was my other eye blinking and was confusing my mind. I began to freak on that one and you were able to settle my concern. It’s funny in hindsight.

Your concern for answering all my questions and taking the time to make sure I understood what all the technical jargon means was great. You shed a lot of light on what was going on with my eyes as they recovered and you have me a heads up on what to expect; very informative. Thank you.

There’s much to thank you for. First, you made absolutely sure that I had answers to all my questions. Next, you took great care to ensure that I understood procedures for my post-op care and helped me out with my drops. Finally, you went above and beyond to work with my tough schedule for both the operation and the follow up visits.

Please also thank your entire staff. I didn’t get specific names, but all were great. They were caring and attentive during my evaluation and operation and entertaining as I anxiously awaited my surgery (the machine experienced difficulties and delayed my procedure). They also were gracious in bumping me up on the schedule on my 1 week visit so that I would make my flight out that day. Much thanks to them all.

Overall, I was very impressed with everyone’s friendly manner and also with how everyone ensured that I had answers to any question. That’s a great practice, keep it up. Again, congratulations on being a part of such a well run outfit.

I would like to thank you and your staff for giving me the gift of sight. I had been wearing glasses or contacts for more than 25 years and now feel like a new person. Since June of 1999 when you performed Lasik surgery on both of my eyes, I feel as if a new world has been opened to me! I wake up in the middle of the night and can actually see shadows on the ceiling - something I have never been able to do. My vision is now 20/15 and better than perfect. Within 6 hours of having the surgery I was able to do normal activities without the assistance of corrective lenses. Life is beautiful thanks to my new outlook. I thank God every day for this precious gift of sight!

The treatment that I was given by Memorial Eye Clinic was excellent - your staff was very professional, courteous and supportive during all of my pre-surgery and follow up visits. I have since recommended Lasik and Memorial Eye Clinic to several of my friends who have been considering corrective vision surgery - I wish for them the success of sight this is now a reality for me!
