Erik Chotiner, M.D. diagnoses and treats a wide range of medical eye conditions. He is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Franklin and Marshall College. Dr. Chotiner attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia where he received multiple awards including the Physiology Prize for Highest Academic Achievement, Gross Anatomy recognition for the top three scores in a medical class of 228 students, and the Thomas D. Duane Research Fellowship Award. Dr. Chotiner completed his ophthalmology residency at Temple University Hospital and completed a year-long Cornea and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at the University of California San Diego.
Dr. Chotiner is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and is active in both the the medical and ophthalmic surgery specialty communities: American Academy of Ophthalmology, Pennsylvania Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American College of Surgeons, American College of Ophthalmic Surgery, Dauphin County Medical Society, and American Medical Association.
